Are you aged 13 - 17, or do you know someone who is and interested in a future with the fire service?

We’re inviting young people to join our Fire Cadet Programme, running at the following stations:

The Fire Cadet Programme has been created to give young people the opportunity to engage with their local fire service. It offers a chance to explore the many different career options within the fire and rescue service and experience what it’s like to be part of a uniformed organisation.

The programme is designed to help develop key life skills, including:

We ask our cadets to be reliable, committed to the programme and willing to try new things and stretch their comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment.

In return, we offer opportunities to build confidence and resilience and to be part of a national network of young people making a difference in their communities and representing their Fire Service locally and nationally.
